A city council committee will discuss Tuesday what has become a controversial recommendation to fill the lone citizen seat on the seven-member London police services board. Ryan Gauss, director of operations for London Liberal MP Peter Fragiskatos and a former campaign worker for Mayor Josh Morgan, was recommended by a city council committee late last month but, after community backlash calling for greater diversity on the board, city politicians voted April 4 to redo the appointment. Councillors will now rank the 54 candidates who applied and interview the five highest-ranked candidates before making the selection. Read More
